Our puppy process

Six steps, with no surprises

We take pride in matching each puppy with the right family and staying involved from the first application through the life of your dog.

    Submit an application

    Complete our puppy application so we can learn about you, your family, and the kind of puppy you are looking for. It is how we make sure every puppy is placed in a loving, lifelong home.

    Application review

    We review your application and get in touch to answer questions and talk through available or upcoming litters. The goal is to find the puppy that fits the life you actually lead.

    Reserve your puppy

    Once approved, a $300 non-refundable deposit reserves your puppy. The deposit is applied toward the total purchase price.

    Watch your puppy grow

    From the day your puppy is born until the day it comes home, we send regular updates, photos and videos so you can watch your new family member grow up.

    Go-home day

    Puppies go to their forever homes at 8 weeks of age, with everything below in hand.

The full price, before you apply

Pet-home puppies are $800–$1,200 depending on coat. Full breeding rights are available to approved homes.

Deposit policy

$300 reserves your puppy

A $300 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve a puppy. This deposit is applied toward the total purchase price.

Deposits are non-refundable if the buyer chooses to cancel their reservation. If Broken Spur Mini Aussies is unable to provide the reserved puppy, the deposit may be refunded or transferred to a future litter.

Common questions

How old are puppies when they go home?
Puppies go to their forever homes at 8 weeks of age, after age-appropriate vaccinations, routine deworming and a veterinary health examination.
How much is the deposit, and is it refundable?
A $300 non-refundable deposit reserves a puppy and is applied toward the total purchase price. It is not refundable if the buyer cancels; if Broken Spur Mini Aussies cannot provide the reserved puppy, the deposit may be refunded or moved to a future litter.
Do I get updates while my puppy grows?
Yes. From the day your puppy is born until go-home day we send regular updates, photos and videos so you can watch your puppy grow up.
