What we collect, and why

When you fill in a form

The puppy application and the contact form send what you type to brokenspurminiaussies@gmail.com, and store a copy so an email failure cannot lose your message. That information is used to answer you and to place a puppy. It is never sold, rented or shared with anyone else.

If you would like your application deleted, email brokenspurminiaussies@gmail.com and it will be removed.

When you just visit

We count pages. There is no Google Analytics on this site, no Facebook pixel, no advertising tag and no third-party tracker of any kind. The only thing that receives a visit record is this website itself.

What is recorded:

• The page visited, and when.
• The website you arrived from, using the site name only, such as facebook.com or google.com. Never the full address you came from.
• Whether you are on a phone, tablet or computer.
• Your approximate city and country, as reported by our host.
• Whether a phone, text or email link was tapped, and how far down a page was read.

Your IP address is not stored

To count returning visits without keeping a record of who you are, your IP address and browser are turned into a short scrambled code the moment a page loads. The IP itself is discarded immediately and never written down.

That code changes every day deliberately. It means visits can be grouped within a single day and cannot be linked across days, so nothing here builds a picture of a person over time. It also means our own visitor counts are exact for one day and approximate over longer periods, which we would rather have than the alternative.

Cookies

This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies, which is why you have not been asked to accept any.
