Meet the heart behind Broken Spur

A small program that started with Spur.

He came home when I was eighteen. He was my first Miniature Australian Shepherd, and very quickly my best friend. His loyalty, intelligence and personality showed me everything there is to love about the breed.

That one dog turned into a dream, and the dream turned into the breeding program we have today. Broken Spur is named for him, and he is still here.

Today the program stays small on purpose. That means every puppy receives individual attention, and I have the time to learn each personality before helping a family find the right fit.

Bringing home a puppy is the beginning of a lifelong relationship, not a one-time purchase. I am here for questions and guidance long after go-home day, and I love seeing our puppies grow into beloved members of their families.
